Planning an Xsan Deployment

While Apple's Xsan may be easier to configure and manage than others, all that power and flexibility requires a bit more forethought than grabbing some cables and discs. The session will outline the basic operational Xsan2box.jpgprinciples of Fibre Channel, RAID, and of course Xsan itself, all with an eye toward planning and design.

Advanced Xsan Configurations
12:30pm - 2:00pm
The second part of the session will cover ways to push the limits, configuring for large scale installations, integration with StorNeXT clients/controllers, and tuning for various types of usage will be explored, as well as maintenance and troubleshooting.  Back up strategies for backing up large Xsan volumes will also be covered.

Session led by Rick Wylie of Key Options Technology.

セッションの第二部では、Xsanを最大限に活用する方法として、大規模なインストールの構成や、StoreNextクライアント／コントローラとの統合、様々な用途のためのチューニング、メンテナンスとトラブルシューティングについて解説します。また、Xsanの巨大なボリュームをバックアップする方法についても取り上げます。
